Exploring OneNote

I’ve installed Office 2007 and am quite liking it. OneNote is a program that although is part of the older Office Suites, is new to me. Tim Eirich has shown me some of its features. It’s great for organizing all your files from documents, video, audio, websites, web clippings and more. This is how the product is promoted:

SmartBoard Podcast

We have a number of our schools who have SmartBoards. I believe that some are using them effectively and others are struggling with using them well. Lack of portability is one issue but there are others. Here is a resource put together by a pair of teachers from Manitoba that share in a podcast, various links and resources and ideas for using SmartBoards.

The PA Palm Project

Today was day one in the PA PALM Pilot Project. Folks, this is exciting stuff. Giving a computer to every kid in a class has huge potential. The computer itself may not change much but combine that with great teaching and a learning environment where collaboration and social learning is encourage and that will create big change.
